Weight Loss
You may lose weight through willpower alone but eventually your subconscious mind will re-establish old patterns and habits. You can consciously change wrong eating patterns and in addition use hypnosis to change your underlying subconscious behaviours and desires.

It is a powerful and effective method, and will succeed where other methods fail. The hypnotist will first establish and seek to understand the real reasons you are overeating and making yourself overweight. Do you eat to reward yourself, or as a way of enjoyment? This reflects a relationship with food often established when you were a child, e.g. Some children were bribed to finish their meal with the promise of desert if they do so.

Emotional Eating

Comfort food/comfort eating often termed emotional eating, occurs when feeling down, suffering from low self-esteem, or stress and anxiety. Emotional eating is an attempt to make you feel better in perceived hurtful situations, or emotional strain. Demands and responsibilities that might be expected of you in everyday life can lead to emotional eating as a way of coping, a way of making everything better. Afterwards, the good feeling so fleeting and short lived is gone and you are left feeling bad about yourself, feeling guilty, hopeless of gaining control of your relationship with food. This need not be the case - hypnotherapy can help change the way you see food, changing the way you use food, replacing those rewards with a healthy feeling of control, where you are freed from the never ending cycle of negative behaviour.
